Kamran is a high school senior who is having a great time since him and his girlfriend are being elected homecoming king and queen. He is having the best time in his life. Then in a party a bully decides to call him towel head and other several racist nicknames. He starts to feel really bad because his family and him are from Iran and also they are Muslim. When he is about to punch the bully he is stopped by his teachers. The next thing he remembers is him in the principals office with an ice pack for his bleeding lip.
"And why don't you mind your own business..." he said. "Towel head." (Gratz 7)This quote makes a connection to what is happening in the present because a lot of people are discriminating Middle Easterners by telling them racist nicknames. "They asked me to unzip my gym bag and my book bag so they could look inside with flashlights." (Gratz )This is an example of the paranoia people are induced when a minor thing happens.
I think this last chapters were not so interesting or full with suspense. But it seems that it will get more interesting. Kamran's life is really difficult and challenging but he puts effort in doing what he believes it's right. This book seems full with a action and suspense. Also a lot of things similar with the book are happening in the present, like discrimination of Muslim people in America.

Kamran is taken in custody by the government, he is interrogated a lot about his brother and his beliefs. In one of the interrogations the agents tell Kamran that his brother was a very religious
person and that he had a blog that proves it. Kamran knows Darius was not a really devoted person. But somehow he had changed. He has spent about a week in the building he sleeps and eats
breakfast in a cell inside the facility, then he is interrogated all day long. One of the agents a lady
named agent Tomaszewski always makes a moment in Darius's life look like something suspicious. She is very convincing and good in getting information.
"He kills the White Demon and saves the king"(Gratz 62)This quote is thinked of like a metaphor that Darius uses to justify his attacks to embassy's and civilian places. The agents say that Kamran and his brother Darius were read this by their mother, they also think it influenced Darius's mind. This quote is part of the 7 Labors of Rostam, a Persian legend that Kamran's mother used to read him when he was little.
As I predicted on the last post the book would get more interesting. It is full of suspense and It makes you don't want to stop reading. This part of the book makes me feel it is really close to the climax. The characters in the story are described with a lot of details and quotes they take part of. It makes it so much easier to read with interest.

Kamran bails out of prison and escapes by firing a fire extinguisher and making it explode. Then Hagan helps him escape, they run into a van in which the rest of Hagan's team was. During the travel in the van they tell him they are going to Arizona. The agents suspect a terrorist leader will attack in a Women's World Cup game. Then Kamran figures out that they won't attack in the World Cup, actually terrorists will attack in the super bowl. They get ready for it.
" Trust each other," ( Gratz 147)Hagan told us. "Work as a team.Time is of the essence." This quote connects to my life ,when I screw something up my advisors tell me similar words and things to lift my spirit and correct my errors.
I really liked this book and I look forward to reading other books that Gratz wrote. I would definitely recommend this book, especially for kids or teens who like historical fiction and action novels. This book teaches you how to believe in yourself and in family.
